Cash Flow Forecast in Excel – 13-Week View and 12-Month Plan
The Cash Flow Planner shows today whether your money will last three months from now. Record actual and planned payments, enter recurring costs once – the file calculates your bank balance week by week and warns you before it falls below your safety buffer.

What the template includes
13-week cash forecast
Opening balance, inflows and outflows by category, net cash flow and closing balance for every week – print-ready on one page.
12-month cash plan
Three actual months, the current month and eight forecast months in one view, with the balance at each month end.
Recurring payments
Rent, salaries, loans, taxes and subscriptions weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly – entered once.
Safety buffer with warning
The file shows from which week the buffer is breached and highlights those weeks in orange.
Actual and plan split automatically
Transactions up to the as-of date count as actual, later ones as planned – no extra column.
12 languages, protected, offline
Switch the language in Settings. Protected formulas, no macros, up to 10,000 transactions.
Who is it for?
For freelancers, founders, small businesses, restaurants and trades who want to plan liquidity without opening accounting software – and for anyone who wants to know what the next months look like before talking to the bank.

Frequently asked questions
Is the template free?
Yes, free for your own business. Resale and removing the attribution are not permitted.
Why 13 weeks?
Three months are long enough to see shortfalls in time and short enough to plan payments concretely. Banks and advisers often use this horizon.
Can I use my bank export?
Yes. Copy date, amount and description from the CSV into “Transactions” and give each row a category. Always enter amounts as positive.
Does it replace my accounting?
No. It is a liquidity planning tool, not accounting and not tax advice.
Can I get a customised version?
Yes. I build versions with several accounts, scenarios (best/worst case) or a link to your bank export.
